Biodiversity Monitoring in Agricultural Systems – Conceptual Framework and Literature Review
Report description
This report presents a summary of the conceptual framework for monitoring Israel’s agricultural systems, that was developed on the basis of meetings and consultations with experts in the field, as well as a literature review of global experience on this topic. This handbook forms the basis of a program for monitoring biodiversity in agricultural systems, approved following submission to the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Agriculture. Within this framework we set out on a joint initiative between the Ministry of Agriculture and HaMaarag. The Agriculture Monitoring Program is part of the National Ecosystem Assessment Program [in Hebrew].
