This report surveys the state of the aquatic habitats (rivers, springs, salt flats and winter ponds), which are among the most threatened of Israel’s habitats, as part of a series of reports on the state of nature. The report categorizes, quantifies and edits existing information about 500 selected sites from both the desert region and the Mediterranean region, estimates their ecological state and provides conclusions and recommendations [in Hebrew].
